In the Northeast judicial district of North Dakota Grafton District Court is the district court of Walsh County.

About the area

The territorial legislature formed Walsh county from the Northern parts of Grand Forks County and Southern parts of Pembina County in the Summer of 1881. In Minto you will find the Walsh County Historical museum which has been the recipient of artifacts from the residents of Walsh county. One of the prime exhibits in the museum is Main Street where replicas of the businesses of the olden days have been built such as a general store, blacksmith shop, saloon, ice cream parlor, photography studio, beauty shop and dentist’s office. The second floor of the museum is a recreation of a pioneer home. On the grounds of the museum there is a one-room school house, jail house, log cabin, trading post and cook house.
