Next to the city's heated swimming pool with its new slides is a small parks for kids play and adult relaxation. It is equipped with a jungle gym, swings and picnic tables. In the Park on the Square you can find a Danish mill. The mill was built around 1902 on a site North of Kenmare. In the 60's it was moved to the park and restored. Centennial park has as a central piece a goose sculpture to represent Kenmare's title as the "Goose Capital of North Dakota." This is a self proclaimed designation based on the visit of almost 400,000 snow geese to three nearby wildlife refuges on their way South.
