Blaine County Courthouse and the county court and district court within it are you might end up if you are in trouble. These courts are part of their respective Eighth Nebraska judicial districts. SR 91 sweeping into Blaine county from the East meets SR 7 from the North and SR 2 from the West.

About the area

When you talk about small towns you must include this one; Brewster has only 17 people living in .09 square miles, bu then they do not need much room. This is a poor city but kids here get an education that is better in quality than the state average. Incomes here are low but the residents spend on average a small amount of time commuting to work. The city never had much of a population, reaching a peak of approximately 287 around 1930. A wealthy newspaper publisher from Oakland, Nebraska around 1884 claimed a homestead on the land where the town was laid out. It was not until 1947 that the town was incorporated.
