The county court (Room 103) and the district court (Room 200) which are part of their respective Nebraska judicial district are located in the Cuming County courthouse. You can breeze along in Cuming county on US 275, SR 9, SR 15, SR 16, SR 20A, SR 32 or SR 51.

About the area

Around 1857, a group of men who formed the The Nebraska Settlement Association decided to go prospecting along the Elkhorn river. For some reason they chose the area now known as West Point to locate a town and start some industries. The area was subsequently plotted and laid out. Growthnof the town was slow until around late 1870 when rail service was established. Now this town of businesses , homes and city hall has some nice parks to enjoy and in which to relax. The largest of its three parks, Neligh park has a swimming pool and shelters as well as other facilities. Timmerman park though smaller has sand volleyball, a picnic shelter, tennis courts and basketball courts and Wilderness park is a natural preserve.
