Custer County Courthouse

Look in then Custer County courthouse for the county court and the district court each of which is in their respective Eighth Nebraska judicial district. You can drive way across SR 2 in Custer county as it meets or crosses SR 21 A, SR 92, SR 21, SR 70 and US 183. SR 47 runs through the western part of the county and meets SR 40.

The Custer County museum has an exhibit that is amazing in its detail. It is a recreation of the Wescott, Gibbons, and Bragg General Merchandise Store of Comstock, established around 1886, which has most of the store's original display cases and merchandise including the pharmacy which was added in 1912. There is also a second room in this facility which has the famous Solomon Butcher gallery, music of the 19th and 20th century, textile displays and artifacts, guns, and uniforms from Spanish American, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam wars in a military exhibit. The Broken Bow Community Playhouse is a great place to spend an evening enjoying dramatic and musical performances put on by local groups. Broken Bow's four parks provide a host of sites for sports and just plain outdoor entertainment. In Tomahawk, Melham, North Side and City Square parks you can find picnic grounds, shelters, illuminated softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, playgrounds , RV hook-ups, Olympic size swimming pool, a stocked 5 acre lake, soccer fields, a bicycle path and a walking trail.
