Beatrice County Court, located in the same building as the district court, serves as the Gage county court in the First County Court judicial system of Nebraska. US 77 and SR 34F which run through Gage county, meet in Beatrice. Spur SR 34A runs through the Eastern part of the county.

About the area

The city has a pretty good number of parks which have facilities for baseball, softball, football and miniature golf. There are also facilities for bowling and roller skating. Everyone in this town comes together for its two major annual events, the Gage County fair in July and a Homestead Days celebration in June. The fair has 4-H competitions, livestock exhibitions and to liven things up musical groups and shows. Homestead Days celebration, opening with a parade replete with floats, has lots of fun things to take part in and watch. The kids usually have fun in the Kids Adventure races and Little Tuggers Tractor pull. Other events are the Mud Volleyball tournament, Teen night, Bicycle Rendezvous, ice social and polka. Don't the music to close out each day.
