If you are looking for the county court (Box 146) or District court (Box 187) you can find them in the Loup County courthouse. They are each part of their respective Eighth judicial district of Nebraska. The two main roads in Loup county are US 183 and SR 91 which meet in Taylor.

About the area |
The first settlers to Loup county came sometime before 1873 and the county was established around 1883. although the first county seat was Kent but Taylor managed to replace it some time qafter the establishment of the county. On land purchased by a settler around 1881 from an earlier settler, the town was laid out. the Taylor museum consist of three small buildings; the Pioneer Memorial Log Cabin, the former Taylor Clarion public library and the Sunnyside District #23 one-room schoolhouse in which are displayed many artifacts from the county's history. One of the original public buildings in town, the Pavillion Hotel, circa 1887, is still standing. The building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and is in the process of being restored.
