In the Pierce County courthouse you can find the county court and the district court (Room 12) and each is part fo their respective Seventh Judicial district of Nebraska. US 20 passes through the Northern part of Pierce county and meets US 81, SR 13 and SR 121. SR 81 is a short road connecting SR 13 with US 81.

Within the city's Gilman park you can find besides the swimming pool, playground, camping area, ball fields and shelters; the Arboretum and the Pierce County Historical museum. The Arboretum consists of the Entrance, Historic Bridge, Xeriscape, Wildflower and Ornamental Grass and Butterfly gardens and the new Wet Mesic garden. The museum complex is primarily made up of five structures. The main building displays consist of Clark Moore's drug store soda fountain, the office of Dr. W. I. Devers, the print shop, the old theater, items related to the Gesundheit Band and many other items related to the history of the county. The other structures in the complex are the old depot of the Chicago & North Western Railway company, The School District 7 school house, the old fire and curfew bell tower and the Machinery building with its displays of antique farm equipment, horse drawn wagons, a large tool display and an unique barb wire display.
