If you can't find the county court or the district court (Box 47), then you have not been looking in the Scotts Bluff County courthouse. They each are a part of their respective Twelfth Nebraska judicial district. US 26 runs from one end to the other of Scotts Bluff county and meets SR 29, SR 71 and SR 92 on the way.

Just to the West of Gering you can find the Five Rocks Road amphitheater where there are concerts and Thursday night movies throughout the Summer. The Highway 92 Raceway Park holds Friday night races all summer long on an asphalt racetrack. The city of Gering has nine parks and an arboretum. Three of the parks have shelters equipped with 110 volt 20 amp power. The the Northfield Park Arboretum has on display trees and shrubs that grow in the Gering area. Lake Miniature to the North of Gering, with its unique inland lighthouse, the only inland lighthouse in the United States, has fishing, camping and other water sports capabilities. The Farm And Ranch museum is unusual in that it has living and inanimate displays. The exhibits include the irrigation display with its Surveyor and Forman shack from construction of the Gering Ft. Laramie and the Goshen Irrigation projects and a tower of a Valley Irrigation Company center pivot irrigation system. There are also tractors, ice house, foundry, plows, cultivators and planters along with the farm and house and livestock.
