Both the county court and the district court (Room 302) are located in the Thayer County courthouse and they are both in the First judicial districts of Nebraska. US 81 passes through Thayer county and meets SR 4 in the Northern part of the county, US 136 South of Hebron and SR 8 in the Southern part. |

Don't know if its important to be known for this but Hebron has the worldâs largest porch swing. Local volunteers built this swing 32 feet long but of course it doesn't fit on anyone's porch so its located in City park. Wonder how they get so many people to swing at the same time. A particularly beautiful place to visit in town is the Arrowhead Garden arboretum where you can see different species of bushes, trees and shrubs. The Hebron Municipal Swimming pool is a great place to spend a hot afternoon with a large water slide, two diving boards and several swimming areas. The town of Belvidere is home to the Thayer County museum. Located in the former Belvidere schoolhouse, it has on display artifacts from Thayer County's history including mammoth teeth and a restored one room school. |
