Within the Wheeler County courthouse you can find the county court (Box 127) and the district court (Box 127). Each of them is in their respective Eighth judicial district court of Nebraska. Running down the length of Wheeler county US 281 meets with SR 70 and SR 91. |
| About the area |
When Wheeler county was first established around 1881 it included both present day Wheeler and present day Garfield counties. Three years later the state legislature divided it into two separate counties. Around 1885 two land owners offered competing pieces of land for the location of a county seat. The final selection was made for Bartlett's present location. All of Wheeler county has a population under 1000 with two villages Bartlett and Ericson. The annual Wheeler county fair is held at the beginning of august. |
