Laconia, the City of Lakes, has Winnipesaukee Lake on the northeast and Winnisquam Lake on the southwest. The courthouse was built in 1822 and is responsible for locating the county seat here. From days of lumber, wheat and corn mills, it is now a light manufacturing and high tech center as well as a four-season tourist attraction. |
