About the area |
Nashua comes from the Penacook Indian language and means "beautiful stream with pebbly bottom". Before the Civil War six railroads crossed the then mill town. The last mill closed in 1949. The city was revitalized with business brought by a defense firm and the high tech industry. Football great Greg Landry made his home here. |
