About the area |
Edgewater is well served by roadways including 95, 9W, 46,1 and 9. The borough of Edgewater is literally on the edge of the NJ Land and is separated from the State of NY by a stretch of water between the two. This borough has an exceptionally high percentage of Asian Americans. It is estimated that nearly 23% of the residents are Asian Americans out of which a good 3-4% are Japanese. Sure enough, this town has a Japanese strip mall, selling Japanese handicrafts, food and other knick-knacks. The clientele also non-Japanese customers who want to buy Japanese garments, shoes or food items. |
