The town of Lyndhust has a population of around 20,000 and is home to many schools - Lyndhurst High School, Franklin, Jefferson - to name a few. This active community encourages one and all to volunteer for fun. Just recently, students participated in a 'Keep our town clean and green' drive conducted by the Lyndhurst Beautification Commission. Kids had fun planting flowers and trees around the Town Hall, Library and other buildings and cleaning up around the Municipal Court Building. This town also has a non-profit womens clinic that does routine medical checkups for free. Once a producer of metal products. Shaffer Steel is the only plant that is still operational in Lyndhurst. Old industrial buildings have been torn down, and now one sees financial and banking institutions in their place.
