About the area |
The name "Norwood" comes from it's description of being âNorth-Woodsâ. Formed from the northern portions of Hackensack and New Barbadoes Townships. It is believed that the first residents of this borough were immigrants from Holland. The borough is home to about 5700 residents, with median household incomes near 6 figures. The Recreation Committee religiously meets once a week to chalk out programs and events for the community. Also home to 'Cost Cutter', one of the biggest retail stores in the state. |
