Riverside Township possibly gets its name from being a river-front township on the Delaware at its confluence with a tributary. The historic Watchcase in Riverside is on the National Register of Historic Places. The township is spread over about one and a half square miles. Main Street and Rt 543 are the busiest routes in the township and house 80% of the businesses. River Line light rail system runs through the township, stopping at, not surprisingly, Riverside Station.
