Southampton township is not too dense. It has a bit over ten thousand residents in a touch over forty square miles and is largely rural. One can still spot horses in the farmlands of Southampton. The courthouse is located on Retreat Rd. Mill Pond meanders around Retreat Rd. A section of Southampton is called Leisuretowne. There are dairy farms too. Boat House is a historic place. County Routes 616, 641, 642, 643 and 681 and US Rt 206 all pass through.
