About the area |
It is believed that Clayton got it's name in 1867 before which it went by the name of Fislertown, then just a crossroads with 5 dwellings. Today, the borough has a population of nearly 7200 and is home to many small businesses. All these businesses contribute to economic development. Scotland Run Park, the largest park in Gloucester County is in Clayton and is a bit more than a mile away from the Municipal Court. In fact, nearly one-fourth of the borough is just wildlife management areas and parks. The other place worth visiting is the Clayton Historical Museum. |
