About the area |
Gorgeous spot east of Union Beach, with views of Staten Island and Brooklyn across the Raritan Bay. This borough of 10,000 people was among the first few areas in NJ to implement the modern telephone numbering system, and boasts of numerous small parks and the 'Keansburg Historical Society' which is maintained by a dedicated group of people. Here you will find a record of every single historic event associated with Keansburg and other memorabilia. Keansburg often called the 'Gem' of the NJ Shoreline. It is not surprising to find tourists during summer months. The area also got some press for passing laws restricting where convicted sex offenders could live, which was held up at least for a time by an area Superior Court. |
