The Town of Boonton (not to be confused with Boonton Township - hey - this is not our fault!) has nearly 8500 residents. The Boonton Historical Society and Museum is located in the historic John Taylor Building on Main Street. The Museum Gift Shop attracts many visitors. Main Street in Boonton is pitched against a cliff. The cliff and Rockaway River run for quite a ways through town. Main Street intersects Washington Street which houses the Municipal Complex.
