It is believed that Florham Park got its name from the fusion of the names Florence and Hamilton, who were one of the wealthiest couples in the country at the time. Florham has a population of about 8900 people. NJ Transit passes through Florham Park and has a stop in Madison, which is less than a couple of miles away. Routes 510 and 24 pass through the borough. Additionally, there is bus service to NYC. The borough has numerous charitable organizations and clubs that cater to people in need and distress. Pinch Brook Golf Club and Brooklake Country Club are in the vicinity too. The Exxon campus and some colleges are also nearby.
