The borough of Mountain Lakes is a tiny borough with a population of about 4300. The borough gets it\'s name because of the presence of numerous lakes in the borough. Mountain Lake, Sunset Lake, Birchwood Lake, Crystal Lake are few of the lakes in the region and make the borough a tourist attraction. St. Claires Hospital in Denville lies on the border of Mountain Lakes Borough and Denville township. US Routes 46 and I-80 serve the borough.
