Plumsted has about 8200 residents. New Egypt is a section within Plumsted and houses the municipal court. Attractions include Hanora Golf Club and the scenic Oakford Lake and the wooded area around it. New Egypt Historical Society is located in Plumsted township too. Routes 528, 537 and 616 are amongst the major routes.
