Mannington is a tiny town of 1600 people with a rich history. Was home to the world-renowned poet Esther "Hetty" Saunders in the nineteenth century. Mannington is home to the high-tech 'Memorial Hospital' of Salem County. Other places of interest include the Mannington Meadows Wildlife Refuge also known as the 'Down Jersey area' by local residents. Nature lovers can spend an entire season paddling in the waters of the Mannington Meadows near the Delaware River. The township name seems awfully similar to a flooring company located in nearby Salem. |
