About the area |
Plainfield city is a densely packed yet homey city. It's 50,000 residents live in about 6 square miles. But Plainfield has very little crime. Most of Plainfield is residential but there are some commercial areas too. Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center is located in Plainfield. Drake House Museum is a must see upon visit to this charming city. The historical society and museum are housed in the same building, which was built in the year 1725. Plainfield is also home to Plainfield Country Club which is said to be one of the very best in the state. Plainfield is served by Routes 28, 531 and 601. Plainfield is referred to as the 'Queen City' by local residents, or maybe that's just the gay community. |
