| About the area |
The Township of Hope which is registered in the State and National Registers of Historic Places, is very different from it's neighboring towns. Hope was a planned community right from the beginning. It is said that German Moravian settlers constructed streets, homes, churches and other important locations in Hope in mid 1700s. It is believed that Moravians felt strongly about good education for boys and girls and were talented in music and arts, which would explain the early construction of schools and other educational facilities in the area. Also home to the amusement park 'Land of Make Believe', which has many safe rides and other attractions.
