The ponds at Tingley Beach, including Central, Catch and Release pond and Children's are regularly stocked with trout and catfish. Everyone 12 years or older must have a current New Mexico fishing license to fish at Tingley. The Albuquerque museum of Art and History has on display art of the Southwest and exhibits representative of 400 years of Albuquerque history including its origins as a Spanish colonial village. The Rio Grande flows Northwest through the city. Albuquerque is home to the University of New Mexico and Kirkland Air Force Base.
