About the area |
Reserve is the county seat and with a population of only 380 it is the largest town in the county. It is in the Gila National Forest where you can enjoy activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, photography and horseback riding. Here you find ruins from Mogollon and Anasazi Indian tribes and petroglyphs. There is a larger than life statue in town of Elfego Baca considered to be New Mexico's most famous Hispanic peace officer. |
