Lordsburg District Court is the Sixth district court of Hidalgo county in New Mexico's judicial district court system.

About the area

Around 1919, a piece of Grant county was taken to form Hidalgo county. It's possible that these two things go hand in hand; the county has two ghost towns and an anti-terrorism training facility. Plenty of room in this county, the population density is an average of less than 2 people per square mile. Two great events take place at the Hidalgo fairgrounds in Lordsburg; the Hidalgo County fair and rodeo in late August and the Classic Car show in October. One of the featured contests at the rodeo is the world series of team roping.
