The Ruidoso Downs Race Track offers annual live racing from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day with the races taking place Fridays through Mondays. This racetrack is the site of the Ruidoso Downs’ signature event, the All American Futurity; a Quarter Horse race and a coveted event for breeders and trainers. This is also the site of the The Ruidoso Downs Racehorse Hall of Fame whose inductees include owners, breeders, trainers, jockeys and horses. The Hubbard Museum of the American West has on exhibit artifacts, saddles of all sizes and kinds and wagons & transportation vehicles providing visitors a glimpse into the history and culture of the Native Americans, Hispanics, pioneers and cowboys who lived and worked in this area.
