The Larry Walkup Aquatic center and the Los Alamos County skating rink with its NHL regulation outdoor skating surface are two places maintained by the city for resident's recreation in this town. Fuller Lodge an upright log structure, built in 1928 as a dining hall and masters' quarters for the Ranch school, is now a community center where the Los Alamos symphony, an amateur community orchestra, and the Los Alamos Choral society present concerts. These two organizations also hold concerts in the Crossroads Bible church. There are two arts and crafts fairs in Los Alamos. The Spring fair, held in early May on the lawn of historic Fuller Lodge and the Holiday fair, held indoors the Saturday before Thanksgiving in the Crossroads Bible Church.
