Don't miss the Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village. The museum has on display a full sized wooden oilrig and other old oil field tools in addition to rooms holding the various collections. The Pioneer Room exhibits include information on Aztec’s early families and photographs of Aztec's National Register of Historic Places buildings. There is also the Telephone room with antique telephone equipment; the Lobato room with mineral, m\fossil and rock collections and mining tools; Indian arts and crafts in the Indian room and the Agriculture room with early farming and dairy equipment. There is also a replica of an old barbershop with turn of the century barber chairs. The village consists of 12 buildings which were either moved or built on site and resemble structures from the early part of the 20th century. Each of the buildings contains items which were used in it. If you are a biker you can enjoy the bike trails throughout the city or go mountain biking in the area. Or enjoy the Aztec Speedway and Track a IMCA sanctioned clay racetrack where modifieds, stock cars, hobby stocks, late models and mini stocks are raced in the Summer months. Nearby is Navajo Lake with boating fishing and sailing. There are also lots of sandstone arches nearby which are interesting and unique.
