| About the area |
Edgewood as the place "where the mountains meet the plains". The town is fairly new, having been incorporated just before the start of the 21st century. It is on the East side of Sandia Mountain and is protected from desert heat. IS 40 runs through the town. At Wildlife West Nature park you can see animals and plants of New Mexico and the Southwestern United States. The animals are housed in a series of habitats in such a way as to provide great viewing opportunities for visitors. There are covered amphitheater facilities and a fully-enclosed entertainment facility here often used for local events and festivals and a concert series. The city maintains a skate park, athletic complex, equestrian center and
two trails systems. There are supermarkets, pharmacy, an auto dealer and shopping center in town. |
