About the area
The city of Truth or Consequences (known as T or C) was originally named Hot Springs and was renamed in 1950 for the radio program. Fiesta occurs the first weekend in May with beauty contest, parade, stage show and a dance in Ralph Edwards Park (named for the host of the show). It is located on the Rio Grande and its spas bring tourists for the mineral baths.
