Bronx Traffic Court has no plea bargaining. You either plead guilty or go to trial, where it is win or lose. The case is not necessarily dismissed if the officer does not appear for trial the first (or second) time.
|
About the area |
TVB is just west of Bronx Park. The Bronx is home to Yankee Stadium and well over a million people, so you can imagine how busy this traffic court is.
|
Hours of Operation |
Call center hours: 8 am to 4 pm, court open 8:30 am - 4:00 pm; Thursdays until 6 pm |
Judges |
Administrative Law Judges (ALJ) preside over traffic cases in the TVB.
|
Prosecutors |
Police prosecute their own tickets in TVB. Some defendants feel the ALJ acts like a prosecutor, but this may not differ all that much from other traffic courts.
