Judge Cook was censured in 2005, with two judges calling for her removal, because of a number of cases where she had engaged in ex parte communication, made decisions based on personal relationships instead of the law, and disregarded proper procedures. In all of the relevant cases she gave good deals to defendants without notice to the prosecutor. The majority of the Commission believed she had learned from the experience and had adopted better procedures.

Wonderful town right next to the Canadian border. Customs is five minutes from the middle of town. Beautiful Catholic Church that you can tour. Also, very neat antique store with interesting French and Native American artifacts. Chateaugay Lake not far away where you can jet ski, take a boat out on the lake, or go swimming at the Sand bar. Also, great places to eat like the Hollywood or the Lakesider. And Jericho Joe's Roadhouse looks like a fun place too!
