| About the area |
Malone has a great history from when it was established to present day. The village was started as a mill town in the 19th Century and was ransacked in the War of 1812 by the British. Vice-President William A.Wheeler came from Malone and is buried in one of the cemeteries there. The village also is the home of the North Country Community College Campus offering courses in education, environmental issues, business, and much more. People come from all over the North Country to visit Malone and take advantage of its many resources.
