Watertown has few traffic bottlenecks; it is about an hour from Kingston Ontario.
Being situated near to Black River and Lake Ontario, it is an ideal location for aquatic activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming (if you like cold water). Its proximity to the Adirondack Mountains, and the tug hill plateau make it good for hiking, camping and plenty of winter sports too. Some say there's a lot of drinking in the North Country, but please don't drink and drive.
