Googling Village of Nunda brings up Village Clerk at the same address. Located in the same building as the Town Court. Mill Street is also Rte 436.
About the area
Established in 1839, Nunda is from the Seneca language, meaning where the valley meets the hills. Nunda Village included 4 Seneca camps until 1818, 2 on either side of the Chautauqua Hollow Trail. The village square (formerly a frog pond) is located where the Chautauqua Hollow Trail (State St) crosses the Keshequa Trail (East St). Of the three locks of the Genesee Valley Canal formerly located within the village, only the ruins of Lock 42 remain.
Hours of Operation Every Thurs at 5:30pm; 2nd Thurs for DA cases.
Judges
Honorable Gerald T. Hotchkill (585-468-2697)
