Carmel is the County Seat for Putnam County. While I-84 runs nearby and the Taconic clips a notch of the town, the absence of major highways limits the number of traffic matters. The Town Hall/Court is located in Mahopac. The town of Carmel has their own Police Dept. Court is held in Meeting Room #1. |
