About the area |
Also known as Cold Spring-on Hudson, the village is within the town of Phillipstown and is 50 miles north of NYC. During the Civil War, President Lincoln visited a cannon-making foundry located in Cold Spring. Note that there is a similarly named Coldspring Town Court in Cattaraugus County in the western part of New York State, and there are other Cold Spring places in other states as well. |
