Canton is found between the Adirondacks and the St. Lawrence River. Woods and fields surround the village. Canada's an hour and a half by car; Montreal is a two-hour drive. Syracuse, NY & Burlington, Vermont are within a 2-3 hour drive. This is NOT where you would find the football hall of fame, however. That's in Canton Ohio.
