About the area
The great Jazz entertainer, Cab Calloway (never called the Cabber, by the way) was a resident of Greenburgh. The town borders the Hudson River. Villages and Communities that make up the Town of Greenburgh are: Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington, Tarrytown, East Irvington, Edgemont (also known as Greenville), Fairview, Hartsdale, Woodlands, and Worthington.
Justices Sandra A Forster, Doris T. Friedman and James William Hubert preside at the bar. A 2004 report suggested the judges were not all getting along.
The town attorney prosecutes/negotiates the speeding tickets and motor vehicle cases. The Westchester District Attorney handles the criminal cases.
Type Of Cases Mostly speeding tickets generated from nearby I-287, Rte 119 (Tarrytown Rd.), Thruway (87) and the Sprain Brook Parkway.

Apr 26 2008 03:45:21: They apparently do not respond to mail either. I dropped off a
letter to them weeks ago -- no response even though I supplied
my #, emai, and home address.
[Editors Note - It's not unusual for a local court in NY to take that long.
Not saying it's a good thing, but typical.]

Feb 26 2008 22:38:16: Same here... having the "no one answering the phone" problem, too.
Feb 26 2008 11:11:44: This website and phone numbers are no help at ALL, I am still waiting to hear some news about my ticket but nothing so far, the should invest on buying an answer machine so people can leave their messages because no one answer their phone,,,, do something ,,,,,! [Note from site owner -- many courts are bad about the phone. Try mailing them a letter. It's old technology, but it works better.]
Jan 26 2008 03:13:41: This is so ridiculous nobody answers the phones. Help!!!! Waiting to hear about a ticket and I have no clue to what is going on about it.....
Jan 13 2008 01:11:18: funny you should mention this phone business. As I write this I am on the phone trying to get some information and it just rings non-stop. I assumed, that at some point a recorded message would give information, but nothing.
Nov 29 2007 08:10:01: It would be nice if the website had hours of operations and a frequently asked questions section since no one answers the phone. also it would be nice if there was an answering service that will provide some information instead of just having the phone ring and no one answer.
