Primarily a residential suburb of NY City, Mount Vernon is located on the Bronx and Hutchinson Rivers. The southside of Mt. Vernon borders with the borough of The Bronx. It is considered the 8th largest city in the State of New York. Mount Vernon has also generated a good share of famous residents and those who were either born or grew up in Mt Vernon.
