This small town became a part of Yates county after its founding. Located south of Geneva, it was named Barrington after the same name in MA. Music always made this town a happy place because it was the crib for the western bands such as the Ridge Runners. Beautiful mineral springs were discovered back on the middle of 1800's. Barrington becomes a great destination for a quiet vacation because of the warm environment offered by the citizens.
