The first settlers arrived to this land back in the late 1700's and early 1800's. This community is the birthplace of Eddie Arnes, a much respected member of the Methodist Church who represents one of the many valuable citizens born in this beautiful territory. Many historians have known this community because of the Coonskin Library, which opened the minds of everyone to the importance of books, regardless their price.
