Clark County was named after Gen. George Rogers Clark. There are a lot of places to visit in Clark County like Springfield which is the main area of entertainment has a lot to offer. Clark County is just 70 miles from the borders of Indiana and about 40 miles from west of Columbus. The Historical National road which is now called the US-40 passes through Springfield and also contributed in a big way for Springfield’s development. You find diverse businesses here from big chains to local business crew. For people visiting Clark County the Buck Creek State Park is an ideal outdoor recreation spot, with cottages to stay, camping, boating, fishing, swimming and trails. There is plenty happening in the Clark’s County Performing Arts Center for kids and adults. Glen Helen nature preserve, South Fountain Ave. Historic District, Springfield museum of Art and Pennsylvania House are all interesting places to visit. Drive back through the Lower Valley scenic byway to exit because it will make your trip worthwhile and complete with its winding roads amidst dense woods.
