About the area |
Clinton Countyââ¬â¢s claim to fame is that the famous Banana Split Ice cream was invented here at Hazards Drug Store in 1970. There is a festival that celebrates the Banana Split in Clinton County which takes place on June 8th and June 9th. Other popular festivals of Clinton County are the Clinton County Fair and the Wilmington Art and Pottery Festival. Other things to do on your list could include the White Swamp forest in Clinton County which actually once took over the uplands in OH. This is a unique forest with white oaks and red maple. The park stretches over 22 acres of thick wooded growth and is an ideal outing for children and adults. The Caesar Creek flea market is open on every Saturday and attracts a lot of visitors. Clinton County Rails to Trails has been made into a recreational area and has a lot of things to offer for children like a basketball court and tennis court and bike trails. |
