Founded back in the 1820´s this land really thanks Christopher Columbus, the first great colonizer of the "New World" when naming this beautiful territory after his vision and projection when he discovered the "New Indias". It was also the home of the politician Robert Justice, who wrote in golden letters the name of his home town when serving the County of Holmes.
